Giá đỗ cắt bỏ rễ và đầu rồi rửa sạch, để ráo nước. Thơm gọt vỏ, cắt bỏ mắt, chẻ thành những thanh dài có kích thước vừa với máy ép của nhà bạn. Củ sắn gọt vỏ, cắt nhỏ. Lá bạc hà rửa sạch.
